Notice of SVI EOM – June 27, 2018

June 27, 2018 at Camosun College – Interurban Campus PISE Classroom 329A from 7 pm to 9 pm

The purpose of the E.O.M. is:

  1. To provide information to members.
  2. To consider amendments to the Special Operating Rules.
  3.  To elect executive of the Association.
  4.  To conduct general business.
  5.  To adopt a budget for the subsequent fiscal period.
  6.  To set a date for the next E.O.M.

The order of business at the E.O.M. is:

  1. Reading of the minutes from the previous E.O.M.
  2. Business arising from the minutes.
  3. Report of the President.
  4. Report of the Treasurer.
  5. Presentation of the budget.
  6. Information items.
  7. Special Operating Rules amendments.
  8. Election of executive. (The Vice President, the Treasurer, the Umpire in Chief and one Director are to be elected on even numbered years and will hold office for two years.)
  9. New Business
  10. Adjournment.

 

BC High Performance and Development Spring Break Camps

Oceanside Softball is pleased to announce that we will be hosting two softball camps with the coaches from the Women’s National Team. The first is the BC High Performance Camp for players with higher levels of ability and the second is the Oceanside Softball Development Camp with Team Canada Coaches for players of any ability.

BC High Performance Spring Camp

Softball is in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the current coaching staff for the Canadian National Team will be the headline coaches for the first annual BC High Performance Spring Camp and Oceanside Softball Development Camp. These camps will also include current National players, the National Teams Mental Performance Coach and national pool coaches.

The Camp will be held indoors at Arbutus Meadows Training Center 1515 Island Hwy E, Nanoose Bay BC V9P 9A3 a 225ftx175ft turfed facility.

The camp is limited to 65 participants (15 pitchers, 10 catchers and 40 infielder/outfielders) in U14 and (15 pitchers, 10 catchers, 25 infielders, 15 outfielders) in U16/18 group.

U14 Group runs from March 19 to 21 2018, and includes:

  • 10 hours of Training/instruction
  • 4 games with National Team coaching
  •  Meet and Greet Pizza/Appetizers night and College Prep Talk
  •  5 hours Physical Training
  •  2 hours Mental Performance

U16/18 Group runs from March 20 to 23 2018, and inludes:

  • 13 hours of Training/Instruction
  •  2 games with National Team coaching
  •  Meet and Greet Pizza/Appetizers night and College Prep Talk
  •  3 hours Physical Training
  •  4 hours Mental Performance

Cost

U14 $350 Registration Fee
U16/18 $425 Registration Fee


Oceanside Softball’s Annual Development Camp

Oceanside Softball’s Annual Development Camp runs March 23 to 25, 2017 at Arbutus Meadows. This camps is broken up into hour and a half modules for each age group with each module costing $25

The modules are:
Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Infielding and Outfielding

SFU is returning to Victoria – Registration Details!

Carnarvon Ball Club and Peninsula Baseball and Softball Association are pleased to announce that they are hosting SFU Head Coach Mike Renney and the SFU Varsity Softball team in Victoria for a Skill Development Camp on September 23 and 24. The camp is open to players born in 2000 to 2007. All skill levels are welcome!

The two-day camp will cover hitting, bunting, throwing, catching, fielding and base running. SFU Softball Head Coach Mike Renney will oversee the camp and the varsity-student athletes will provide instruction. Participants will interact with SFU coaches and varsity athletes throughout two days of instruction. Space is limited.

Saturday September 23 – 12 pm to 3:30 pm

Sunday September 24 – 10 am to 1:30 pm

Cost:
